YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT SHE TOLD JUDGE JUDY!
A Midnight Confrontation Over a Shared Father
Imagine a late-night phone call escalating into a physical fight.

Then imagine your car getting vandalized.
This is the chaotic scene that Ms. Johnson describes to Judge Judy.
The Plaintiff Seeks Justice for Assault and Vandalism
Ms. Johnson is the plaintiff in this case.
She claims Ms. Page assaulted her.
She also claims Ms. Page vandalized her car.
Both women share a child with the same man, Gary.
Ms. Page is the defendant.
She denies being present at the scene.
She also has a counterclaim.
Ms. Page alleges Ms. Johnson has been harassing her.
She believes Ms. Johnson vandalized her car.
The Cinco de Mayo Incident
Ms. Johnson recounts the night of May 5th.

She and Gary were celebrating Cinco de Mayo.
They had margaritas and tacos.
Around 12:30 AM, Gary went to bed.
His phone started ringing with an unknown number.
Ms. Johnson answered after about five missed calls.
It was Ms. Page on the line.
Ms. Johnson recognized her voice.
They had known each other for over three years.
Ms. Page asked, "Where's Gary?"
Ms. Johnson replied, "He sleeps."
Ms. Page then claimed Gary had been at her house for three nights.
Ms. Johnson said that was impossible.

Gary had been home.
Ms. Page insisted, "Wake him up."
Ms. Johnson woke Gary.
Gary took the phone.
He called it a joke and said to hang up.
Before hanging up, Ms. Page said, "Open the door."
A knock came five seconds later.
Gary looked through the peephole.
He couldn't make out who it was.
Ms. Johnson then looked.
She recognized Ms. Page.
She yelled, "Zuri, why are you at my house at one in the morning?"

Ms. Page demanded to speak to Gary.
Ms. Johnson called the police.
Gary opened the door.
Ms. Page was extremely intoxicated.
Ms. Page told Gary to come to her truck.
Gary asked why.
Ms. Johnson was standing behind Gary.
Ms. Page then started calling Ms. Johnson names.
She called her a drunk.
An argument ensued.
Ms. Page reached under Gary.
She grabbed Ms. Johnson's hair.

She pulled Ms. Johnson into the hallway.
A fight broke out.
Evidence of the Altercation
Ms. Johnson presented pictures.
The pictures showed bruises and scratches from the fight.
Judge Judy also asked for the police report.
The report indicated a broken windshield.
Ms. Johnson confirmed the broken window.
The police report noted Ms. Johnson's reluctance to speak.
It also stated she was a little intoxicated.
A sergeant observed the broken windshield.
The car belonged to Ms. Johnson.
Ms. Johnson decided to press charges.

She had parked her car around 6 PM that evening.
Inconsistencies in Testimony
Judge Judy questioned Ms. Johnson's living arrangements.
Ms. Johnson initially said she and Gary lived together.
The police report stated otherwise.
It said Gary was only there to watch their child.
It also said they were no longer in a dating relationship.
Ms. Johnson admitted Gary was living with her "on and off."
Judge Judy noted the report mentioned Ms. Page's friend.
Ms. Johnson had not mentioned a friend.
Ms. Johnson explained she was getting to that part.
She said Gary pulled them apart.
Ms. Page's friend ran in from the truck.

The friend pulled Ms. Johnson back.
Gary pulled Ms. Page back.
The fight stopped.
Ms. Page then ran out the front door.
Her friend followed.
The police arrived two minutes later.
Ms. Page's Alibi and Counterclaim
Ms. Page denied everything.
She claimed she was out of town that week.
She said she was at her mother's house.
She stated she had not spoken to Gary or Ms. Johnson.
She claimed Ms. Johnson had been harassing her for three years.
Ms. Johnson had allegedly followed her to three different jobs.

Judge Judy focused on Ms. Page's alibi.
She asked if Ms. Page had witnesses.
Ms. Page said her fiancee dropped her off at her mom's.
Judge Judy stated she didn't need to hear from witnesses.
She had to decide who to believe.
She didn't believe Ms. Johnson would break her own windshield.
She was sure Ms. Page's fiancee would confirm her alibi.
She was also sure Gary would confirm Ms. Johnson's account.
The Broken Windshield and Gary's Custody Issues
Ms. Johnson provided an estimate for the windshield.
The estimate was for $330.
The windshield was still not fixed.
Ms. Johnson had been driving with plastic on her window.

She had not sought medical treatment for her injuries.
Judge Judy observed the photographs.
They showed evidence of a significant fight.
Judge Judy asked about the children.
Ms. Johnson's child with Gary was three.
Ms. Page's child with Gary was two.
Ms. Page stated Gary was not allowed to see his daughter often.
He was court-ordered not to be left alone with children.
He was found unfit.
This order was from Champaign County.
Ms. Page claimed Gary saw his son every day.
Gary's daughter only saw him at his stepmom's house.
He had supervised visitation there.
Judge Judy questioned the inconsistency.
She found it illogical that Gary could not have unsupervised visitation with one child but could spend time daily with another.
She concluded Ms. Page's actions were more about Gary than the child.
