Judge Judy Reads the Evidence
Judge Judy reads the Facebook message aloud.
The message is dated April 19, 2013.
It begins, "Hey, Jim, you did help me out, and I'm truly appreciated."
It continues, "I would love nothing more than to be able to pay you off."
Mr. Hill wrote he was doing everything he could.
He mentioned mailing $100 a couple of days prior.
He was trying to sell items on Craigslist.
He stated, "My sister and I checked, and I'm down to owing you $3,000."
The message said the payment on its way would bring the balance to $2,900.
Mr. Hill wrote he was doing his best with monthly bills.
He listed "kid, baby, truck payment, you, and the IRS" as obligations.
He promised to send a lump sum when he got one.
Judge Judy confirms the message came from Mr. Hill's Facebook account.

The Defendant's Denial
Judge Judy asks Mr. Hill about the IRS mention in his message.
She asks how much he owes the IRS.
Mr. Hill first says, "Nothing I know of."
Then he says, "Maybe $1,000, maybe."
Judge Judy asks about his baby mentioned in the message.
Mr. Hill states his baby is two years old.
Judge Judy asks if he thinks Mr. Lillie made up this Facebook response.
Mr. Hill claims, "I haven't been on Facebook."

The Verdict
Judge Judy addresses Mr. Hill.
She reminds him of her earlier warning about the easy or hard way.
She states he sounds like a deadbeat.
She issues a judgment for Mr. Lillie.
