Judge Judy asks why Dana, at 50 years old, doesn't work.

Dana states she is unable to work at this time.

The Expectation of Repayment

Judge Judy asks Ms. Martin where she expected Dana to get the money.

Ms. Martin says Dana told her she could use a credit card to pay.

Dana said she would pay Ms. Martin back as soon as she got out.

Judge Judy points out that Dana's financial circumstances are clear.

She says Ms. Martin, as a best friend, should know this.

Judge Judy questions how Ms. Martin expected to be paid back immediately.

Ms. Martin says she gave Dana the benefit of the doubt.

Dana had said she would pay her back.

The IRA Conversation

Dana states that Ms. Martin was informed her mother would take money from her IRA.

It would take a couple of days to process with the bank.

Then she would pay Ms. Martin back.

Judge Judy asks if Dana's mother has an IRA account.

Dana assumes so.

Judge Judy asks if Dana had that conversation with Ms. Martin.

She asks if Dana told Ms. Martin her mother would pay the bail.

Dana says the IRA conversation did not happen at that time.

Judge Judy asks when that conversation happened.

Dana explains Ms. Martin was in a car accident.

The deductible was $1,000.

Ms. Martin was strapped for money.

Dana said she would ask her mom if she could take it out of her IRA for that.

Judge Judy asks if that is how it happened.

Dana says no.

Dana's Living Situation

Judge Judy asks Dana what she does.

Dana says she has a building.

She has properties and lent water.

Judge Judy asks if Dana's boyfriend lives with her.

Dana says no.

He lives separately.

They do not live together.

Judge Judy asks why he is a boyfriend if they don't live together.

Dana says she is traditional.

She was married.

Her divorce was final recently.

She has never lived with a man without being married to him.

Judge Judy asks if Dana gets alimony or child support.

Dana says she does not.
