FULL VIDEO AT THE END OF THE POST

The Poker Game and a Debt

Jory, the plaintiff, brought a case against Mr. Warren, the defendant.

The dispute began after a poker game.

The game took place at Jory's apartment on December 13th.

Nine people were playing that night.

This included eight men and one woman.

Mr. Warren was among the players.

Jory explained that he borrowed money during the game.

He borrowed $10 from his friend Misha.

Misha was also playing in the game.

Jory ended up winning money that night.

He stated he won $90 but left with $80.

Mr. Warren confirmed Jory won.

However, Mr. Warren claimed Jory won $80, not $90.

He said the other player got his $10 back.

The $10 Dispute

The next day, Jory called Mr. Warren.

Jory said he called to get the $10 for Misha.

Misha had gone to Hinckley casino the night before.

She was not in the area.

Jory was trying to retrieve the money for her.

Mr. Warren told Jory he had already given the $10 to another person.

He claimed he gave it to someone who was still in the game.

This person was supposed to give the money to Misha.

Jory stated that Mr. Warren denied owing Misha any money.

Mr. Warren, however, had a different account.

He claimed Jory texted him the next morning.

Jory's text said Mr. Warren owed Misha $10.

Mr. Warren denied this.

He said he had given the money to Jose, Misha's friend.

Jose was also at the poker game.

Mr. Warren stated he gave Jose the money to give to Misha.

Alleged Threats and a Request for Money

Jory claimed Mr. Warren asked him for $5 after the poker game.

Jory said he refused this request.

Mr. Warren denied asking for money.

He stated he suggested Jory "throw the house a little something" for hosting the game.

Jory then testified about threatening communications.

He claimed Mr. Warren sent him threatening text messages.

Mr. Warren also allegedly left a threatening voicemail.

Jory stated the messages said Mr. Warren was at his apartment.

The messages also allegedly stated he would break in through the back patio door.

Mr. Warren admitted to calling Jory.

He said he called to "handle whatever he was saying."

However, Mr. Warren denied going to Jory's house.

He claimed he decided not to go after he "cooled off."

The Day of the Incident

On December 14th, Jory and his girlfriend left their apartment.

They left for Perkins at 11:10 AM.

Jory believed Mr. Warren saw them leave.

Mr. Warren's girlfriend, Destiny Johnson, was also present in court.

She stated that Jory had sent threatening text messages to Mr. Warren.

She claimed Jory said he was going to "run up on him and more or less fight him."

Destiny Johnson referred to Mr. Warren as Leland.

She claimed Mr. Warren was at home with her.

She said he was with her other child.

She stated Mr. Warren was at home when Jory was sending these texts.

Discovery of the Break-in

Jory returned home later that day.

He found his patio door's wooden dowel out of place.

The dowel was lying on the floor.

His door chain was locked from the inside.

Jory had to force his way into his own apartment.

He then discovered further damage.

A picture screen was ripped off.

The window frame was also damaged.

This indicated a point of entry.

Jory also noticed several items were missing.

Witness Testimony

Charles Edward Cohen, a neighbor, testified.

He saw someone with dreadlocks walking away from the property.

This occurred around 11:30 AM on December 14th.
