A Family Feud Erupts
Mrs. Trujillo, the plaintiff, brought a case against her twin sister, Christina Kidos, and Christina's husband, Ray Paul.
The dispute centered on an alleged assault that occurred on May 25th, 2014.
Mrs. Trujillo claimed her sister and brother-in-law assaulted her.
Christina Kidos, the defendant, filed a counterclaim.
She alleged that Mrs. Trujillo and her husband assaulted her.
Christina also claimed that Mrs. Trujillo took her property after her arrest.
The incident took place at their mother's house.
The Morning of the Incident
Mrs. Trujillo testified that she arrived at her mother's house first.
She stated her arrival time was approximately 7:30 in the morning.
She had just come from church with her father.
She was dropping him off at the house.
Her mother and older sister were already present when she arrived.
Mrs. Trujillo stated she sees her parents daily.
She lives only three blocks away from them.

Christina Kidos's Arrival
Christina Kidos provided a different account of her arrival time.
She initially stated she arrived at her parents' house about 3:30 or 4:00 in the afternoon.
Her husband, Ray Paul, later clarified this.
He stated they arrived in the evening.
Christina testified she sees her parents about once a week.
She claimed she only visits when her sister, Mrs. Trujillo, is not there.
She estimated seeing her parents two times in September.
In August, she claimed to have seen them five to ten times.
This was because Mrs. Trujillo was out of town.

Text Message Exchange
Prior to the physical altercation, the twin sisters exchanged text messages.
Mrs. Trujillo admitted to sending texts to Christina.
In these texts, she called Ray Paul a "loser" who "doesn't work."
Ray Paul also mentioned receiving text messages.

The Initial Assault
Mrs. Trujillo described the beginning of the physical altercation.
She was sitting at the dining room table.
Ray Paul threw a coke with ice at her face.
This act initiated the physical confrontation.
Ray Paul confirmed this detail in his testimony.
He admitted to throwing the coke at Mrs. Trujillo.

Escalation of Violence
After being hit with the coke, Mrs. Trujillo confronted Ray Paul.
She testified that he then pushed her to the floor.
He began kicking her while she was down.
Her father intervened in the struggle.
Mrs. Trujillo then went to her truck.
She intended to retrieve a taser.
However, she discovered the taser had no battery.

Pepper Spray Attack
Ray Paul then sprayed Mrs. Trujillo in the face with pepper spray.
Mrs. Trujillo stated she was blinded by the spray.
She experienced intense pain.
She described feeling someone intensely rubbing the spray into her eyes.
She bit out, not knowing what she was biting.
She later realized it was her sister, Christina.
Christina exclaimed "ow," and they let go of Mrs. Trujillo.
Mrs. Trujillo crawled to the kitchen door.
She began splashing water on her face.
This did not help, as the spray was oil-based and intensified the burning.

Police Intervention
Officers arrived at the scene.
Mrs. Trujillo was in the kitchen, splashing water on her face.
A police report was filed.
Mrs. Trujillo presented this report as evidence.
The report detailed the officer's observations.
It noted that Ray Paul had pepper spray in his pocket.
Mrs. Trujillo's face was red and watering from the spray.
The report also stated that Christina Kidos told police Mrs. Trujillo hit Ray Paul first.

Arrests and Property Claims
Ray Paul and Christina Kidos were arrested.
Christina Kidos claimed she left certain property at the house when she was arrested.
This property included a cell phone wallet.
