A Protest of Injustice
Ms. Lord explained her motivation further.
She stated her noise was a protest against injustice.
She invoked the names of Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi.
"Martin Luther King Jr., who I adore, he's a hero in my pantheon of heroes, he said injustice must be exposed," she declared.
"We must all protest injustice."
She also mentioned Mahatma Gandhi as another hero.

Video Evidence of Disturbance
Mr. Boyer presented video evidence of Ms. Lord's noise.
The video showed loud radio and siren-like sounds.
One recording was made at 7:15 AM.
Another recording was made at night on June 28, 1996.
This video provided tangible proof of the disturbance.

An Offer of a White Noise Machine
Ms. Lord made an offer to Michelle Boyer.
She offered Ms. Boyer $100 to buy a white noise machine.
Ms. Lord attempted to demonstrate a white noise machine in court.
She brought the device to the table for Judge Judy to hear.
Judge Judy instructed her to turn the device off.
Judge Judy's Assessment
Judge Judy summarized the situation.
She noted that Mr. Boyer was disturbed by noise purposefully caused by Ms. Lord.
Ms. Lord acknowledged making noise in her house.
She admitted her intent was to purposefully annoy her neighbors.
Ms. Lord's stated goal was for all neighbors to band together.
She wanted them to pressure Mr. Vibat to stop his noise.
Until then, she intended to continue making everyone's life miserable.
A Charming Lady, a Pest to Neighbors
Judge Judy addressed Ms. Lord directly.
"Mrs. Lord, you are a charming lady," Judge Judy said.
Ms. Lord thanked her and reciprocated the compliment.
Judge Judy then delivered a stern message.
"The risk of being disrespectful, you can't be a pest to all of your neighbors," she stated.
"They are entitled to the peaceful enjoyment of their home."
Judge Judy emphasized that Ms. Lord was also entitled to this.
The Focus of the Case
Judge Judy clarified the scope of the current case.
"But I'm not hearing the case now against either Mr. Vibat or the city council," she explained.
"I'm hearing the case of these innocent people who have been caused to suffer."
She pointed out that the Boyers were suffering due to Ms. Lord's protest.
This protest, Judge Judy noted, had nothing to do with them.
The Judge's Warning
"And Ms. Lord, you have to stop," Judge Judy declared.
She stated that if the only way to make Ms. Lord stop was to charge her money, she would do so.
The award of money was for violations up until the current date.
Judge Judy made it clear this was a warning.
"It's going to cost her $1,500 if she does it tonight, if you file suit," Judge Judy explained.
"It'll cost her $1,500 again next week if you file suit."
The Judgment
Judge Judy instructed Ms. Lord to direct her anger at the right people.
The judgment of the court was for $1,500.
"And you better stop playing that noise," Judge Judy concluded.
