The Counterclaim: A Broken Windshield
Judge Judy moves to Dennis's counterclaim.
Keith asks if she wants to see pictures of Dennis driving on his grass.
Judge Judy firmly states, "I don't care about him driving on your grass, sir.
I don't care about him driving on your grass."
She warns both parties to stop talking.
She threatens to throw them out if they don't.
Dennis's counterclaim is for $300.
He then corrects the amount.
He says the estimate changed to $119.08.
This is for a windshield on his wife's car.
Dennis explains they went on vacation.
Keith used to house-sit for them.
He would take care of their dogs.
They returned from vacation to find their dogs unfed.
His wife's windshield was broken.
He claims this was the only damage he could put a dollar amount on.
Keith denies any knowledge of the windshield.
"I have no idea what he's talking about with the windshield on the car."
The Counterclaim's Demise
Judge Judy asks when this happened.
Dennis says it was when they came back from vacation.
She presses for a specific date.
"When, when, when, month, year."
Dennis states, "June of '96."
Judge Judy is unimpressed.
"June of '96?
Yeah.
What a life.
June of '96.
I mean, you're going to go back in history."
She asks when he first told Keith to fix the windshield.
Dennis says it was when he realized it was broken.
Keith denied breaking it.
Judge Judy asks if Dennis sued him then.
He says no.
She asks if he waited until this lawsuit.
He confirms he did.
Judge Judy's Verdict
Judge Judy delivers her judgment.
"Goodbye on the counterclaim."
She tells Dennis, "You owe him $2,825 so he can fix his driveway and he can fix his cesspool."
She admonishes Dennis.
"You're 28 years old.
You're supposed to be a responsible human being."
"You have a wife.
You have a child."
"You don't take a truck and drive it on somebody else's lawn."
"That's stupid."
"Goodbye."
