THIS NEIGHBORLY VISIT WENT HORRIBLY WRONG!
A New Truck, a Neighbor's Lawn, and a Collapsed Cesspool
Imagine showing off your brand-new truck.
Now imagine that display of pride leads to a lawsuit.
That's exactly what happened in Judge Judy's courtroom.

The Parties and Their Claims
The plaintiff is Keith MacKysing.
He is suing his neighbor, Dennis Colletti.
Dennis is the defendant.
Keith claims Dennis drove his new truck across Keith's lawn.
This act, Keith says, caused his cesspool and part of his driveway to collapse.
He is seeking money for the repairs.
Dennis has a counterclaim.
He says Keith broke his wife's windshield.

The Defendant's Story of the Truck Ride
Judge Judy starts by asking about the new truck.
Dennis confirms he got one.
He also confirms he was friends with Keith.
Judge Judy asks if he wanted to show off his new truck.
Dennis agrees.
He explains he called Keith to come over.
Keith was busy.
So Dennis decided to go to Keith's house.
He drove his truck "across his grass" and parked next to Keith's stoop.
Then he got out and showed Keith the truck.
Keith interjects, mentioning Dennis drove on his grass.
Judge Judy cuts him off.
She states that past incidents are not the subject of this lawsuit.

The Immediate Aftermath: A Collapsed Cesspool
Judge Judy gets straight to the point.
She asks what happened "five minutes after you drove your truck off his property."
Keith clarifies it was "a little more than five minutes."
He says his cesspool caved in "within a half an hour."
Dennis quickly interjects.
He claims the cesspool was "50 years old, anyway."
Judge Judy silences him.
"Shh.
Hey, don't talk to him.
Talk to me."

Evidence of Damage
Judge Judy asks to see pictures.
She wants to see the damage to the driveway and the lawn.
Keith confirms he has estimates.
He also has a paid cesspool bill.
He claims Dennis "crumpled up, ripped up, and threw it at me."
Keith shows pictures of a "collapsed wall" and a "collapsed rail tie wall."
He states he took the pictures "when it happened."

The Cost of Repairs
Judge Judy asks about the cesspool repair estimate.
Keith believes it was $1,200.
She then asks about plantings.
Keith explains he lost trees in the cave-in.
He has estimates for those lost trees.
Judge Judy asks Dennis his age.
He is 28.
She asks if he owns his house.
He confirms he does.
His wife and child live there with him.
Keith confirms he fixed the cesspool.
He says it took him three days to get the money.
He had to pay cash.
When he asked Dennis for the money, Dennis allegedly suggested he "just use an outhouse."

Driveway Damage and the "Favor" Defense
Judge Judy reviews a bill for concrete.
It is for $1,625.
Keith explains this was for the driveway.
He says part of the driveway caved in with the cesspool.
He felt if one part was replaced, he shouldn't "suffer and look at that when he drove on my lawn."
The announcer summarizes the case.
Keith says Dennis destroyed his cesspool.
Dennis says Keith cracked his windshield.
Judge Judy addresses Dennis's written answer.
His answer claimed he did Keith a favor.
He argued the cesspool was 45 years old.
It would have caved in anyway, "sooner or later."
Dennis reiterates that other cesspools in the neighborhood have caved in.
Judge Judy points out, "But you pushed his-- sort of-- you pushed his a little bit quicker."
Dennis argues his truck didn't fall in.
