Neighborly Dispute Begins
Mr. Hasley and Ms. Blavasky appeared before Judge Judy.
They are neighbors who own their homes.
Mr. Hasley stated he has lived in his home for approximately 15 years.
Ms. Blavasky has lived in her home for eight years.
The difficulties between them began in 2014, according to Mr. Hasley.
Ms. Blavasky claimed the difficulties started in 2015.
Judge Judy noted that they had peacefully coexisted for a substantial period.
She asked Mr. Hasley to explain what happened in 2014.
Hedge Trimming Incident
Mr. Hasley recounted seeing Ms. Blavasky trimming hedges.
The hedges were on her side of a chain-link fence.
The fence divides their properties.
He noticed she was not paying attention to where the trimmings landed.
He claimed she made no effort to pick up the trimmings that landed in his yard.
Judge Judy clarified that for Ms. Blavasky to pick up trimmings, she would need to enter Mr. Hasley's property.
Mr. Hasley agreed.
He also suggested the fence was only four feet high.
He believed she could have prevented the trimmings from falling over.
Judge Judy questioned the nature of the trimmers used.
She asked if it was a little hand trimmer or an electric one.
Mr. Hasley indicated it was a little hand trimmer.
Judge Judy suggested that a hand trimmer would not create a large amount of debris.
She then asked Mr. Hasley what he did when she did not pick up the trimmings.

The Confrontation
Mr. Hasley stated he confronted Ms. Blavasky.
He went out of his house to do so.
He saw the trimming from his house.
He asked her if she was going to pick up the trimmings.
Ms. Blavasky responded with profanity.
She told him to pick them up himself.
Mr. Hasley then called the police.
He stated the police came to his house.
He showed Judge Judy a police report.
The report was dated May 29, 2015.

Conflicting Accounts of Initial Incident
Ms. Blavasky stated that nothing happened in 2014 with twigs.
She recalled the first incident being on May 29, 2015.
She was trimming trees at that time.
She claimed debris from his side of the fence fell into his yard.
She said Mr. Hasley called the police, alleging she was throwing garbage in his yard.
The police report from May 29, 2015, was discussed.
It stated that Ms. Blavasky was cutting down shrubs.
Parts of the shrubs were falling onto Mr. Hasley's yard.
The report also indicated that Mr. Hasley then cut them up.
He allegedly put them back in her yard.
Judge Judy asked Mr. Hasley if he did that.
Mr. Hasley replied that he did not recall doing that.
He also did not recall telling the police officer that he did that.

Twigs Versus Piles of Debris
Judge Judy asked Mr. Hasley how many times twigs fell onto his property.
Mr. Hasley insisted they were not just twigs.
He offered to tell her how many times a pile of debris ended up in his yard.
Judge Judy reiterated her question about twigs, branches, or leaves from her trimming.
Mr. Hasley stated that was the only time.
He then described piles of debris.
He said this occurred at the beginning of summer 2015.
He walked out into his yard to do some work.
He found a pile of trash behind the fence.

Mysterious Trash in the Yard
Mr. Hasley described the trash.
It usually consisted of fairly large branches.
He also found a pair of flip-flops at one time.
There was a deflated soccer ball.
He even found part of a two-by-four.
